Alright, so I went to the court house today to get my permit and I went over to chat with the ladies in the records room. Thanks for telling me I can get a landowners youth and a reg youth. I can also get a $2 Doe tag with the reg any sex tag. I could have gotten a double yesterday night when I shot that Buck. So now I have to go back in pay $30.50 and get a Doe tag and a Buck tag. Man, wish somebody would have told me. Can I still get a any-sex Bow tag for like $2? I can get 5 landowner tags but can they be the any-sex? Can I still get a shotgun 1-2 landowner?

Edit; I'm not saying I want to kill and fill all my tags I just want to make sure I can get them for a lower price and still be able to hunt most of the seasons.

never knew youth landowner was an option i guess...nor do I know about a 2 dollar bow tag... you are kill hungry bud...dont you want deer for next year, or deer to pick sheds up from?!

I end up hunting 5 properties total, 1st is our home place, 2nd is 3 miles away, then 30 miles away, 4th is another place 4 miles away, and then 5th is 25 miles away. So I'm only getting one buck per property (if I'm lucky) I doubt I'll get more than 3 Bucks this year and I will pass on a lot of Does (doubt I'll even shoot one) I know for a fact there's no way I'm going to fill 5 Any-sex tags or 6 for that matter. Someone else is party hunting with us and he just wants to tag along and watch the Deer not shoot, so we get a tag for that too. I don't want to wipe out 6 Bucks in one year :p (Plus, I have to save one of those tags for my Dad).

Plus, Youth Landowner is an option and I fall under that. So, I can get a Youth Reg too.

Pretty sure you can get a max of 3 any sex tags as a landowner and you have to legally be an owner or some jazz. I don't think that the person giving you the information was completely informed, but nor am I.
 
Ya need to get in a city hunt! :way: You can kill as many does as you can!! Then you may get a buck tag!!!!!!!!!!! :D Not quite the same! But you can kill alotta shit!!
 
man one person kill 6 bucks in one year, thats crazy here in kentucky we have a 1 buck rule and i love it. Most years alot of people eat their buck tags. I have ate mine for the past 3 years due to not see'n what i call a shooter buck. A shooter for me is 140 plus. If people could shoot 6 bucks a year here then we definetly wouldn't have any bucks. It's bad enough around here right now, Due to poaching and people not respecting others trying to put in a QDM program in place. But hey if you can kill that many bucks legally then have at it man. If you take em all to the taxidermist would be one heck of a bill haha. Good luck to all of you all that's headin out saturday morning for the bow opener in Iowa. I think you need to take a good look at the regulations.

If you get a landowner youth I do not think you or anyone else can get anymore any-sex LOT's. You can get doe only tags. You can not get 5 landowner any sex tags.

You cannot get one tag per property I am pretty sure.
If you are getting that many tags I would not be saying that on an internet forum.
 
the $2 tag would be a landowner's tag also. all anysex tags are $27. your first statewide anysex tag is $27, every anysex (non-landowner) tag after that would be $12.

if your dad is farming all those properties, and you have gotten a landowner tag, your dad cannot get a landowner tag

I was wondering if I can get a shotgun any-sex landowner insted of the Reg one. It's cheaper, but I believe my youth tag qulifies as my ONE landowner.
 
you can only get one landowner tag per owner. It doesn't matter if you own 1 farm or 30 farms. You can only get one. I know many guys that have multiple properties and they can only get one either sex tag. On the bright side, you can get a lot of doe tags for fairly cheap and hunt till your blue in the face.

That's how I can get up to 5 landowner tags 1 any-sex and 4 doe tags right?
 
No, you can get 1 landowner tag...and then you have to buy doe tags from the antlerless quota
 
Josh, do your homework, read the regs, and call your local officer if you are that confused! It's really not that hard to figure out. :way:

You can only get 1 landowner tag. As a landowner you would be able to get 3 anysex tags for the whole season. Chose them wisely young grasshopper!:way:
