Nonthreatening deer decoy

I'm thinking that I want to try a feeding doe decoy next year. I want to get the deer to come out of the private ground earlier than just before legal shooting time ends. I think a feeding doe would be the least threatening decoy available.
I know some bucks get big by being passive, that's why I'm leary about a buck decoy.
Any advice?

not that Im any decoying expert. I have researched the subject alot with very little field trials. I have used a carry-lite feeding doe decoy. First time, first deer came onto the hay field about 175 yards down. Turn walked straight to it and began feeding next to it as it walked towards the corn leaving my decoy behind. Second deer came out 15 min later, upwind saw the decoy stared for a minute and blew and ran off??? It was late sept. last year when this happened.

The other time I used that decoy I dont think the deer either saw it or they didnt pay any attention to it. It was late November. Muzzleloader season up here in "Da nort woods"
