Yesterday I was out on one of my favorite properties doing a little running and gunning. A bird fired up on a neighboring property but wouldn't budge. I did several maneuvers around and got into a better position. The bird finally decides he's had enough, shuts up, and moves off. I finally decide to heck with it and pack up. Clambering out of a ditch, and into a crop field I notice a bird strutting in the shadow of a pine tree still hugging that fence line but now on my side of that particular fence. I hadn't gone terribly far so assumed it was the same bird just doing what birds do
.. being stupid. I was lucky enough to have my reaping fan and was also lucky enough to get it up in time he didn't spook. He dropped fan and walked close enough for a shot. I was very pleased with his hooks and the fact I didn't have to carry him up the hill I had just climbed out of. I glanced at my watch, it was 12:05, just in time for some Casey's pizza.
