Hit a doe this morning and was watching her and saw a buck bump her after she laid down to expire and then backed out to the truck and when back and tracked her to the river... walked up and down the same side not sure she crossed but will head back to the other side after lunch...

Looks like a mortal wound based off the blood. I don't think you need advise, as I think you're doing what I too would do. Comb the other side for blood and I'll cross my fingers for you that the river didn't take her away.
 
Looked up and down the other side of the river with no track coming out of the water... went a ways but nothing... spent most of the day looking... will check again tomorrow... but my boy got a big body 8 point as I walked the other side of the river looking
