NR iowa draw results are out!!

<font color="red"> YEAH!!!!! </font> We got picked. My first year putting in. Wow 2 weeks straight of pre rut hunting in the midwest. Could it get any better. I will be hunting the end of Oct &amp; first few days of Nov in IA then going to IL the 6th-13.

I want to know how we got picked with no pref. points while another group that put in with 1 point didn't get picked?

Excitement is building up fast! I want season to open soon!

Nonres and I drew archery for Zone 5 (southcentral). We had 1 preference point.

We'll hunt Nebraska for 6-7 days and then Iowa for 7-8 in early November.

LOL...yes I did apply. But dang! DENIED. Pref pt goes up. Maybe next year.
 
What is the earliest a non-resident can apply for whitetail tags?Say I wanted to come out next fall,when should I apply?and do you have to apply for cetain areas, or does it cover the entire state?I'd really like to hunt there sometime,a co-worker just moved back home,about an hour out of Sioux City,his parents own a farm and said I was welcome any time.
