Has anyone here hunted the Oakridge public land? Went out today hung 5 stands hoping to have luck there this weekend.

I know right. Could you believe it when we scouted the whole one section we didn't find one stand. On another section we found one trail camera no stand so we moved out of there.

Sat 3 locations at Oakridge today and must say that place is a joke. First location we had a lumberjack drive along his fence cutting down trees just to fill his truck. Second spot turned into a racetrack for kids trying to chase deer with there bows hoping to get one. Third spot was quite and no activity. Dnr stopped us and said there have been a lot of deer taken out of there this week. We seen nothing in the 16 hours we sat.

I hunt it early season.very low numbers the last 3 years it fills up fast on november weekends.
