When we're out in the woods, doing something we absolutely love let's stop for a minute and remeber those that fought so that we are able to live as we do. My grandather was one of those people. My brother is coming up and I'm hoping to put him on a buck but that is less important than remembering my grandpa and our Veterans. We must never forget.

I'll be thinking of my grandfather on Saturday. WWII veteran of the Pacific. He was also the first one in our family to hunt deer in Nebraska not long after the statewide season opened in the early 1960s.
