Thanks for the reminder Willie. I've never been to one of these meetings but you can bet I will be this time! Maybe someone can clue me in on what goes on, and how the "meeting" proceeds? Are we able to stand up and speak our mind? Rather not look like an idiot if possible, although some may figure it's to late for me to get out of that one....

You sit at long conference tables, everyone has a microphone in front them, and you watch a video screen. When someone is talking at any of the ICN sites the camera pans to them. If you ask a question, or make a statement, you are on the screen.

Great fun!

So maybe not a good idea to make any "gestures" as to how I feel about Iowa deer hunters getting the shaft from our own DNR........

This isn't a bad way to do these kinds of meetings. I took some classes a few years back over the ICN and it is almost like being there. It might be kind of intimadating if you are the only one attending at that site so PLEASE every one who can attend do so. This is a great chance to let these NRC members know that we are real people and deer hunters who can do more than just pester them with e-mails. For those of you who don't attend and give yourselves some kind of justifacation like "it doesn't matter they will do what they want anyway" don't whine and complain when they do what they want anyway. Don't just preach to the chior tell those who can make a difference. Sorry, I didn't mean to get started but it is an important opprotunity.

I am glad I caught this thread... I almost forgot all about it.

I will be in attendence for the Council Bluffs meeting for sure. Attending with a National Field Director for Whitetails Unlimited.
