We were up in Atikokan, Ontario last weekend pike fishing. What a great tuime. Caught some major SMall Mouths and some nice pike. I'll have pics of the Smallies soon. 4.5-5 pounders.

Here is a pic of the biggest pike of the Trip. 16.8 caught by my uncle.

Thats awesome sounds like a great time, I spent 3 summers in Wawa, Ontario on the Injigami lake and caught some dandys when I was a teenager.

Pike fishing............can't beat it. I'm going back to the cabin in a couple of weeks and the northerns should be on fire by then. Then I'll spend the entire month of July chasing them and walleye around the lake.

Great job in Ontario by the way.

What's not to love about being on the water in Canada,.....that picture brings back good memories, thanks!

Spent a week up in Quetico two years in a row back in the early 90's and had a blast. A couple of lakes it was a smallie on every cast. Took several 4 lb plus fish and several 12-15-lb pike as well. Really spoils you for fishing anywhere else.

Threebeards you hit the nail on the head with it spoiling a person. Have spent time in the Atikokan and Quetico area fishing myself and it is great.

KPM where do you fish in atikokan? That's where we head to every year. It really does spoil you. My biggest is a 198 but the year i caught that it was amaizing. We hit this spot, every cast caught a fish, doubles and triples all day long and nothing under 10lbs. we had to try really hard to catch lunch because everything was to big.

We have stayed at Camp Quetico on and off for the last 20 yrs. He runs a good camp and has many lakes to choose from and boats on the lakes to use if you so desire. The boys are headed up there in the morning for a week and it was a hard decision to stay home this year. We had a lot of smallies larger than 4 and sight fished some northerns in the shallows that would go from 12-20 last spring.

I know Saskatchewan is a bit far west but....I have a cabin on a lake FULL of pike and walleye, walleye up to 10, pike as big as 30#'s. Biggest I've caught was about 28. Anyways, if any one of you buggers is ever crazy enough to make atrip out this way. There is nobody I'd rather spend a day in a boat with that a whitetail junkie.

Saskguy, you better be carefull what you say. I was on a cruise a few years ago and our waitress told us we should come visit her and her family in Romania. Where do you think i ended up last summer. You just might get a visitor or two with that offer

Romania is alot farther than here. My grandpa's family came to Saskatchewan from Minnesota. Not much of a change I guess with all the bush and the lakes, just way less peole.
