Both my partner (Horsedoctor) and I had a great opening morning.

I was covered up in birds when this guy came in towing 4 hens with him. He had to try to come get my hen decoys too and that was his mistake.
23.75lbs 11" beard 9/16 and 14/16 spurs with 1 broken. Scored 60.125
Don't know why the pics came out so blury.

Congrats to both of you! I don't know if you know but your partner is who got me into archery as a young neighbor kid We would watch him practice and listen to his hunting stories and it sparked an interest. I bought my first Hoyt around 11- 12 years old or so and the rest is history.

Thanks for posting pix for me Breiner!!... Had what started as a very quiet morning Monday in Boone Co. A few roost gobbles then dead silence after fly down. Heard lots of nature; geese, ducks & even a red rooter or two but no turkey talk. I would have fallen asleep if it had been just a little warmer. At 8:30, I almost mess myself when this guy gobbles like thunder from 30 yards behind me. Turn my head around (and he sees me turn my head around). Foolish birds stands still just long enough for me to twist around and swing "Big 10" over my right shoulder. Last thing that went through his mind was 2 1/2 oz. of #7 HeviShot. My heaviest bird ever at 26.8# :way: Need to re-enact that whole scene someday and try to determine how I "scoped" myself over the left eye shooting off my right shoulder but I did....:eek::eek: A couple years ago I put a rubber ring "recoil pad" on the scope just in case such a situation arose. One of my better moves...Big 10 bites on both ends sometimes.

Good luck to all & STAY SAFE!
