I thought yesterday evening was going to be really good. 15 degree drop. Rained most of the day. Saw 2 does. Deer moved after dark according to cams. Not sure what to say. Conditions were some of my favorite that exist.I'm surprised I haven't been reading any stories about bucks hitting the ground these past couple of days. The rains haven't been too hard and have really cooled down the temps here in Central IA. I'll try to hunt a bit this weekend.
Put the glass pipe down. No arrow shortage and most of us have plenty of ammo stocked. There is a severe ammunition shortage this year- this could be coming into play this year.
Blah, blah, blah. Do you do anything other than stroke your own ego and attempt to stir the pot, for no good reason? Why don't you just go away DM54. For the most part, the members on this IW site are high-quality, stand-up sportsmen, and I personally enjoy reading their stuff an conversing with them. For the most part...I have deer hunted in Iowa for 53 years and bowhunted for 51. I have done special city, park, and installation bow hunts for years as well as hunt some of the best Southern Iowa deer ground there is. I have been an IBA member for years and know or have known hundreds of the best and dedicated bowhunters in this state. None, zero, nada of them shoot a giant buck with a bow in Iowa every year- it is not that easy. I have said before that I have seen and heard it all. The few I have known that kill a giant with a "bow" every year usually have one of three things or a combination of these three in common. Baiting, illegal weapon- crossbow or gun, or hunting past legal hours.
Some people do this litterally on TV for all to see so I guess I have to disagree.I have deer hunted in Iowa for 53 years and bowhunted for 51.
