Ordering Seedlings?

Anyone know of a good, cheap place to order cedars for this spring other than the state nursery as they are sold out? Thanks.

www.ncrtrees.com (north central reforestation) or Itasca Greenhouse. Both are in MN, should work in Iowa... I think they still have cedar trees. I think the price range is .26 cents per tree, up to .50 cents depending on the size.

I have ordered the containerized seedlings for better survival.

Check the first page of the Tree Planting thread for a list of nurseries...Coldstream Farm still has red cedars so far as I know

I had good luck with Coldstream Farms 2 years ago. Good looking trees, excellent survival rate.

I've been looking as well, as I was too late with my order. Coldstream is the best price I have found, but they are still double the price of the state nursery. If anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great, otherwise I may just make sure I order early next year.

We learned that the hard way too! November is not so early to order seedlings and other plants like apple trees that sell out early!
