Osceola Turkey Hunt Info

I am looking to head to FL next year to try and get on some Osceolas and was wondering if anyone here has made the trip. I would like to do this non-outfitted if possible as I love the challenge of doing this on my own and am not looking to drop $2000 a guy for a 3 day hunt. We would be open to a potential hunt swap if the land/etc. was right.

Anyhow, if anyone has traveled south and has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. It is likely we would have 4 guys making this trip.

Kratz, go to Florida Sportsman hunt forum. Post what your looking for on that site. There are numerous Turkey guys on there. Good luck.

It's really hard to do for one person, really, really hard for 4. Public land is almost impossible because all the good area are draw quota hunts. I live in Fla. and it takes 2 points just to draw an average area. That's why outfitters sort of have a good market on turkey hunts. The Osceola only lives south of a line thru central Fla. making it even tougher to find land to hunt on. Try Florida Sportsman like suggested, you may get lucky!
