Ouch!!

Crimson Arrows

OUCH.jpg

This photo was taken on a cell phone last week after the guy took his friend
to Bass Pro Shop to buy his first bow. The clerk was 'assisting' him in
zeroing it in, and, after shooting several arrows, making adjustments
etc., the clerk accidently handed him an arrow that was too short.
When he drew back, the arrow tip fell down onto his hand and he somehow
released it. They rode to the hospital with the bow in his buddy's hand
because it impaled his finger also! They are both archery amateurs (I'm
thinking the clerk is also?). I don't think the guy who got shot ever had
held a bow prior, let alone shoot one...OUCH!

a friend of mine's husband won a bow from some banquet last summer, took it to scheels to get it set up. they had him shooting too light of an arrow, similar results. arrow shattered when he was shooting at home. wasn't nearly as graphic as that pic, though. just goes to show you, make sure the person working on your bow knows what they are talking about. the kid behind the counter at "the big box store" is not a trustworthy bow tech

Jeesh, now this has me kinda freaked out to shoot the bow I got. My dad got it from a guy and it came with everything ready to shoot. Quite a few arrows as well, but kind of nervous as well now cause I've only shot it twice, at the ground. LOL

The Bass Pro in Council Bluffs is alright, one or two people that have no clue what there doing but if you want the best help ask for Steve or Christian. Steve knows the most there IMO.

that would bleed alot when he takes the arrow out prob....ouch, i ve heard of carbon arrows breaking and that being a possibility.

Pretty convincing, but I'd assume there would be at least a drop of blood on the riser after it was in there long enough to get around to taking a pic?????
