Yea I am a Bears fan and right away I was happy cuz obviously it helps the Bears out a little bit but the more I see it and hear about it, I don't like it. Blatantly got the call wrong
I almsot quit watching the game last night because of all the penalties. The players know it and are going to try and get away with whatever they can. These replacement refs have absolutely no control on the game. That play was clearly an interception and changed the entire game. In the NFL, every single game is extremely important. Millions and millions are dollars are on the line and you leave these decisions up to officials who were fired from the Lingerine Football League? Come on.

The way the rule works (as I have understood it) is that if both players catch it at the same time, then the ball goes to the offense. Without a doubt, the db catches it and falls onto the offensive player who reaches up to grab it. Trying to judge it live is always more difficult, but that is not the case here. That would be a poor call coming from a HS ref let alone someone at the highest level.
