Pale coyote-trail cam pics added

Re: Pale coyote

Nanny, with all the time I spend outdoors around home, and it is a lot, I have NEVER seen a black one. Seems like some people I hear talk see them all the time. Maybe its just my luck, or maybe certain color phases are more prevalent in other areas. Not sure about that. I do know if I call a black one in I will probably be so amped I will find some way to screw it up. Cause I want one BAD.

Re: Pale coyote

I have seen quite a few down in southern Missouri. I the only change I had at one, well, I missed. Still a unique critter, but not that uncommon down there. The taxidermist down there usually does 10-15 a year from 3 or 4 surrounding counties.

Re: Pale coyote

I thought this was really cool, I just pulled this card from a cuddeback about 150 yards from where I shot this red coyote and these were on there. The first picture was taken three days before I shot it.

The other one definately looks like the one that came in with her and now he is all alone. This was taken two days after I hunted there!

It is pretty neat to have a little story and some trail camera pics to go along with the harvest, just goes to show it pays to run the cameras after the season.

Re: Pale coyote

Caleb that is pretty dang awesome how that worked out. That is exactly why we bust tail to keep the batteries good and keep them shooting pics. You never know what your going wind up with. Good job man. Maybe a day next week with the new snow coming we can go after the other one and possibly trip over a couple sheds.

Re: Pale coyote

i thought i saw a squirrel in the left side of the first picture, the leaves kind of form a squirrel shape, i was surprised at first and thought that must be one BA squirrel if those yotes just strolled by
