Yes it is legal, but you cannot shoot over the road or over a fence onto another oersons property, which leaves a very narrow window of oppourtunity once the bird takes flight. I used to road hunt myself, so i'll go out on a limb and say that most think nothing of shooting over the fence onto the adjacent property.Not debating this but have a question.... So, is this legal then? I assume it is, correct? Can you get out on any road (as long as far enough from buildings, not a hazard, etc) & shoot a pheasant within so many feet of the road? .
Another note. I once road hunted with a friends father that did that 24/7. He knew all the good ditches and exactly where the birds would be. He would shoot hundreds of birds a year with relatives. But the time i went with him, we had altercations with at least 3 landowners that day. The landowners knew him and didn't like seeing him coming down the road.
