Pimp My Pretty Boy!

Just got my new pretty boy this morning, and I have never been one to leave well enough alone. I thought there was too much white in the head, so I added red, even though I know Harold and David say that white shows that it is a submissive gobbler. I touched up the bill on both sides, added more white to the wingbars, slipped a real fan in the back, and painted black over the overspray of bronze on the upper coverts. I also added a semi-gloss clearcoat to the breast and black wing feathers. Added just the right amount of sheen. I have an idea for a motion stake that will allow me to tip the fan down and up, but that is tommorrows project. I will put the pics up when I finish. All I need now is some twenty inch spinners and this thing is PIMPED.

Nice! I was looking for a way to modify mine to stick a real beard on him too. Give it a try so I can see how yours turns out before I go cutting mine up

I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to attach real wings to mine without hacking the shell up too much.

Looks darned good except for that upper third quadrant secondary #4 wing feather is a little too long and could use a touch more paint! Might spook a wary gobbler!
