I went to a meeting Monday night in Forest City about a planned deer hunt at Pilot Knob State Park. It was attended by around 20 people. It was a open forum format. Many of the people there (including me) thought that it was a bad idea as deer numbers are down in the north Iowa area. Yesterday it was decided already to scrap the plans! I am happy that the DNR listened to the people.
