What mowing schedule do you guys use in relation to dove season? I mowed a very small section today just to open some ground. Love of dove activity already in recent weeks, and they haven’t fully dried out yet, more at the yellow/green stage.

Our season in Georgia opens September 7th. I started 3 weeks ago. I sprayed everything with roundup and have mowed a couple of strips. I have tilled a few paths through the field and would have burned a few strips today if it wasn’t so windy.
Doves like a clean field. Do what you can to give them a field as clean as possible.

I believe so - I’ve been munching on a few, haha! Just peridovic sunflowers. The wife had the thought to try and roast some! Will report in if we try it.
