PMA or IBA???

Ok gang,

I am going to be either getting my membership for PMA or IBA. What are the advantages of both? I don't have enough for both right now and want to make a well informed decision. I know there are private forums I would get access to here and I think there is a magazine or something from IBA, if memory serves me correctly. Where will I get the most bang for my buck right now? I will join the other one next month, but right now I want to join the one that will give me the best return on investment. Please advise. Keep it serious too please. Both are good choices in my opinion...I just need a little prodding!
 
Hmm...nobody has any answers? I am truly mystified! I guess I will just keep my money in my own pocket then. Thanks for the advice!
 
I would say both places could use your money. The IBA to support your bowhunting rights and The PMA so you can support the site so you will continue to have a place to come to on the net for info on deer hunting.
 
If all you are interested in what is in it for you, then I am sure you will like the PMA but if for one or the other and not both and if not so much the what's in it for me attitude, go with the IBA for sure because then you are supporting a non-profit organization that protects, defends and promotes bowhunting in IOWA and elsewhere. Stick around long enough and I am sure you will find way to do both.

I posted this in the IBA forum:

I have decided to join the IBA before anything. I just joined a few minutes ago. The IBA seemed like the right choice due to what Shredder had pointed out. This is an organization that speaks out for each of us bowhunters. They go to bat for new legislation and they do it for us. This will also give me a chance to meet more members here through their special events. I look forward to what the IBA has to offer.

To add to what I said in the above post, I will get the PMA membership next month, if it is ok with yall.
 
Someone on here was very thoughtful and signed me up for a year of free IBA membership! I recieved mail from IBA a few days later that had a sticker and a card that says im an IBA member. Havent heard anything since. Id like to know more about it. Is there a forum im not seeing to talk about what IBA does and how i could contribute. I must not be looking in the right palce.
 
Alot of memberships are just a decal and a high five...I go PMA all the way... You can actually learn something /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
 
One will help you learn something and one will help you hang on to the deer hunting you enjoy in Iowa.
Can't go wrong with either,but if you can't find a place to hunt knowledge won't do you much good.
