Hard to top some of these recent posts lately! Thanks for all the cool stories posted so far. I had a great season turkey hunting as well. Started in Kansas with a decapitation of a tom with a Rage broadhead. Sorry for the grusome harvest photo, as anyone knows it is always the ultimate goal of a turkey hunter. Interesting thing was he came in with a big group. He was at 18 yards and 2 other strutters were at 25 yards. I chose the chip shot with the bow and figured after the shot he was just a 2 year old. Turned out he had 1 5/8 spurs and 11.25 inch beard. He was my 21st tom harvested. I've never seen spurs like his.
Fast forward to Iowa and I held off for 2 4th season tags because of the late spring. I'll let the video clips do all the talking as in 10 years of turkey hunting I have never experienced anything like this. Teaser, the first video is long, can anybody count how many different toms were in range at some point? Second teaser, how many beards did the closest gobbler have? This all happened from 6AM - 7:25AM
