This buck to me looks like a 3.5 year old. If that is the case Id sure love to see him in a year or two. What do you guys think for an age? He is the best buck I have on cam at this point but that will change in a little over a month. Lots of does and fawns on the farm, but the bucks always show up.

It might be hard for me to not shoot this deer if given the chance, very rarely do I seem to see the same buck from year to year, or at least im terrible at recognizing deer. Just seems like with the high doe numbers the bucks live elsewhere and dont come into the farm until its close to the rut. Anyway what do you think of the score and the age??? Thanks

I think he has the makings to do a huge jump from this year to next. I know he would have me excited in the stand tho! Good buck!

Sick brows! He's is a pretty skinny little guy though. I'd agree with the 3.5. Would be very tough to pass but may have the making a to be huge in a another year.

Im going to disagree with the others. His face(looks mature) And those bases are HEAVY. Hes mature, and scores better than one would think.

I noticed the bases too. I don't let him walk with that mass and he does have an older looking face to me. Good luck if you choose to go after him!

Yeah, I noticed the bases too. I just dont see it in his body though that he is over three and a half. Certainly could be wrong too. I have looked back and cant put him in any pics from the last few years, but that is not out of the ordinary as I said before, hardly ever happens i see (or at least notice) a buck from year to year.

Yep I say mature as well. Big old head. Backs appears to sag along with the belly. Bases a huge to be only 3. I know Iowa has giants but I'd say he's got a better chance of being 5 before 3.

Sway back mean anything to you all?

That buck is 5.5 old +. Mass, sway back, big head.............

I'd say mature as well 4 yo +. Looks to have a swayed back and older looking head. I would shoot if given the chance. Awesome deer

Judd it's time to get your hand's bloody. You better not pass him. I'd say he's all of 5 1/2.

I'd call him a 3.5 year old from what I see. Some pics the head looks like a mature buck, but the body never looks close IMO.

In pic #2, he is bigger in the back in than the front end like a doe instead of a mature buck.

There was a 2.5 year old shot on my farm that went 130" and all he was was mass on a 12" spread....those pop can base bucks have to start somewhere.

He is a nice deer but he does look a little young. Killer brows, no width...did I day killer brows. He will look smaller once the fluff comes off.
