Protecting bean food plot

We have a 3 acre plot we are wanting to plant beans in but are afraid the deer might destroy it early. Anyone have any suggestions is there a spray to deter the deer,do you put up fence, maybe some kind of noisemaker. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Electric fence works pretty good.

I have bought them at Blains and menards. Once in awhile they go on sale. They are just plastic and push into ground. I use a solar fence charger.

What do you have for other row crops in the vicinity. I have a 2 1/2 acre bean plot that the deer graze only lightly early when green. However, there are many hundreds of acres of beans & corn within a couple miles surrounding it. It's not until all of those crops are harvested and the weather turns cold and nasty in Dec or Jan that my little plot becomes really popular (both with the deer & my wife who's enclosed, heated deer shack looks out over said plot ;)). I have never had a serious problem with deer destroying it in the green and, unless the weather stays very mild like 2011-12, it is an extremely effective harvest plot for shotgun &/or late muzzy season. If it was the only green beans in the neighborhood things would surely be quite different.

I don't believe that deer will wipe out your plot. They will use it more for cover than food in the summer months.
