Thanks for the info. I do not see the following on there and it was in one of your other recent posts;

4. Proposed rule would allow hunters to buy November antlerless season licenses beginning on August 15th rather than making them wait until November 11th.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did I miss it in there? Is that something that I need to worry about getting back doored or is that no longer being proposed?

I was just going to ask the same thing

Has the proposed rule been changed form the original form??

All I see is this portion, which I assume is what would allow early season muzzleloaders to purchase unlimited antlerless tags?
<font color="blue">
"For the first time, hunters may hunt with Antlerless-only licenses in any season they are available regardless of the season selected for their Any-deer firearm license."</font>

Thanks for posting the link Willie but maybe you can "re-explain" some of this before I make my comments...just seems like it reads a little different

it looks like my counties may have no antlerles licenses next year. Im actually all for this, The deer population around here seems way down to me. This would also reduce hunting pressure, especialy during late muzzleloader season.

I would like to see No.3 explained in more detail. The part about the shotgun seasons and how the paid doe tags can be used.Is a bit confusing how it is worded.

I didn't see anything on rule 4 either. As for rule 3, I read it several times and with what little is there, it sounds like you can hunt anterless animals any season or all seasons if there are tags available no matter what season your any-sex firearms tag is. I hope they make this more clear.

They are trying to back door some things. Somehow couple items were edited or just weren't important enough to include.

Rule # 4 is still there/ buy tags for Thanksgiving season Aug 15th needs to leave at Nov.12th

Rule #3 By rewording rule change they left out that this will allow unlimited doe tags in early ML season. You still have to declare with season you want the doe tag for.

Here is the date and places for ICN meetings. Checking on time 7-9PM I think We need to fill these sites, and let them know we don't want the purchase date for Nov. doe tags changed leave at Nov 12.Leave restrictions on early ML as is.

The Apr meeting is our last chance to give our point of view and let the NRC know we are serious.

Clarification

Here is the actual wording from the proposed rule:

106.6(2) Paid antlerless-deer-only licenses. Quotas of paid antlerless-deer-only licenses will be established by county and deer population management area. They will be sold until county or population management area quotas are reached.
a. Paid antlerless-deer-only licenses may be purchased for any season in counties where licenses are available, but they must be used in the season, county or deer population management area selected at the time the license is purchased.
b. Exception. No one may hunt in both the first regular gun season and second regular gun season with paid licenses, whether they are any-deer or antlerless-deer-only.
c. Prior to October 1 a hunter may purchase up to 3 antlerless-deer-only licenses for any season. Beginning October 1 a hunter may purchase an unlimited number of antlerless-deer-only licenses for any season until county or population management area quotas are filled. Licenses purchased for deer population management areas will not count in the county quota.

Re: Clarification

So the lucky 7,500 who get the early muzzleloader anydeer tag may now get antlerless tags in one of the shot gun seasons and late muzzleloader as long as the tags are available besides all the bounus seasons.I know i will be getting a early muzzleloader tag as soon as they are available.

Re: Clarification

The IDNR at the state level sure are not doing anything to build trust and rapport among the sportsmen here, when they use deceit and common trickery to get what a few individuals want
mad.gif

Am I missing something...or could I not buy nearly unlimited early season ML antlerless tags regardless if I had one of the 7500 early anydeer tags. ??

Say goodbye to the "quiet times" of archery season....

Re: Clarification

Looks that way to me.

If you thought it was hard to get onto a big buck before during the earlier part of the season just wait until this happens.

Re: Clarification

I tend to agree fellas and if this is the way you feel I suggest you contact everyone you know that has like views and let them know they need to be heard... Now is the time to put your foot down and ask what is really going on. Are the views of a couple of individuals with a personal agenda being heard or are we going to let them know this is not what we want.

I for one am getting real tired of these third base tactics.

Re: Clarification

Yes sir that's correct

We really need to make some contacts &amp; attend the Apr. 18th meetings.

That's exactly what's going on! A few people are going to stick this one down all of our throats!

Make your calls.

Re: Clarification

" a. Paid antlerless-deer-only licenses may be purchased for any season in counties where licenses are available, but they must be used in the season, county or deer population management area selected at the time the license is purchased. "

I dont like this change one damn bit. For as long as I have paid attention it has been no problem to get one of the 7,500 Early ML tags, mostly because choosing that season limited your other choices. If you are an Early ML guy, you had better be standing in line for a tag at 12:01 am on the 1st day tags are available if this changes.
With the shotgun party system being what it is, why wouldnt thousands of individuals now opt to get a Early ML buck tag and then just party hunt with their shotgun group in Dec like always? They can shoot bucks in two gun seasons and it wont take them long to figure it out. Then the demand will be way up, so I suppose we will have to increase that quota too.

Just to clairify, this (below) is the way it currently is, correct?
" b. Exception. No one may hunt in both the first regular gun season and second regular gun season with paid licenses, whether they are any-deer or antlerless-deer-only." That part I actually like.
