QDMA Recognizes Branches

BOGART, Ga. - QDMA's Branch network is made up of over 180 Branches, or local chapters, across the United States and Canada. Each Branch is important to the mission of QDMA because it serves as a local means to reaching people in every region with the QDM philosophy. Recently at the QDMA 9th Annual National Convention, several Branches received awards for excellence.

The Clinton/Ionia Branch of Michigan received the Branch of the Year Award for its achievements in fundraising, education, community outreach, and support for the mission of the QDMA and its membership. One of their most remarkable achievements was the provision of over 4,800 meals to local shelters through the organization of a venison donation program. The Branch also hosted a hunt for a disabled veteran, as well as numerous educational events, including a well-attended jaw aging event that provided a tremendous amount of useful data for the local Department of Natural Resources.

The Prairie to Woods Whitetails Branch of Minnesota took home the New Branch of the Year Award. In its first year of operation, the Branch was focused on education. The members shouldered the responsibility of hosting their own expo with all-day seminars and numerous vendors. The Branch proved its adeptness at fundraising by hosting a very successful inaugural banquet, which also earned them the title of Fundraising Branch of the Year, quite an accomplishment for a new QDMA Branch.

The Banquet Sponsor Membership Recruiter of the Year Award went to the Midlands Branch of South Carolina. During their fall banquet, the Branch recruited 233% more Sponsor Memberships than any other QDMA Branch. The generosity of Sponsor Members goes a long way toward advancing the mission of the QDMA, and the tremendous efforts of the Midlands Branch provided a host of new loyal QDMA Sponsor Members.

"The time and effort put forth by Branch volunteers is truly unbelievable as evidenced by the tremendous accomplishments of all three Branches. Such diligence enables QDMA to make a huge impact all across the country," said Danielle Riley, Manager of Branch Development.
