I don't worry about the fawns. In my area they seem to join up with another family group. Also the sooner you get the old doe out the less likely she will drive off last years male offspring.
If you follow that logic to the end won't we end up with worse genetics?
Why not assume other button bucks would move into an area after being run out of another, rather than worry about the ones getting run out? Nature has a method to it. I think we tend to over analyze things.
