rain showers

I know many of you have suggested hunting after rain because the animals have been holed up during the showers. What if the rain subsides at 10:00 a.m. Do you hunt right then or do you still wait for late afternoon. It is suppose to rain on sunday in my neck of the woods, that is why I am asking.

I love hunting in a light rain. I think deer move quite a bit in the rain as long as it isn't a down pour. It also helps knock down your scent. Get out and hunt during the rain. You won't melt

Let's say you wake up and it is pouring down rain. The rain ends at 10:00 a.m.

That is perfect!!!

Good luck to you this weekend!

I have read several articles about buck movement after a rain. This time of year they want to freshen up their scrapes after a soaker to get their scent back on the ground. Might get old big boy up early enough to leave his mark in good shooting light. Good luck!

As long as isn't a gully washer, then i like to get out and hunt in the rain. The guys make a good point in helping scent control and the bucks freshening scrapes after it ends. If you do hunt the rain, be on your toes though, cause you are not going to get any help from crunching leaves and they will be on top of you when you least expect it. They are callin for light rain in Northern IL Sunday into Monday morning. you can guess where i will be
