Rain totals??

We were very blessed and thankful to receive 1.3-1.4 inches of rain in NEIA yesterday afternoon. It won't solve our drought problems as we ve had a very dry May-June. But should get the corn to tassel, without much subsoil moisture, going to need another rain shortly after tassel to keep the crop chugging along.

We are flooded out!!! ;) …. .2” Many other years we caught rain others missed. It’s our turn for missing some I guess. I’ve checked 7 different weather sites & apps for 10+ years…. It doesn’t bother me AS MUCH …. Can’t control the rain BUT we can control things like: no till, building organic matter, natural browse, etc. I’ve got my soils to about a 5.5% organic matter average, that helps! Dang this sucks for crops though. Good for everyone & congrats on the rain!!!! Please send more!!! Most critical time is like u said- we sure need it when that silk phase gets going!!!

Got 7/10ths here in Mitchell county after 6 weeks of nothing. Needed more. My uncle a few miles away got 1.75 inches. My sister near Mason City had 3.5 inches.

0” but 10 sprinkles!! SW IA, 1.4” since first day of May out of three measurable rains. Nothing for past two weeks.

1.23 past 3 days in SW IA. Thankful. Our area has been super spotty. Rains split and go around our farm. Our home 30 mins away has gotten 3x.

Yesterday, was at a wedding in Seward, NE, and their corn not even knee high, yet. Drought iis tough.

Here what June looked like at our farm…
