Rapeseed Paddock food plots ?????

I am relatively new to food plots, I read an article where the author planted Rapeseed Paddock? And had good success with the deer hitting it late in the year (December in MN) I guess my question is, I have never heard of rapeseed paddock before, what kind of plan is it, and is it a good late season food plot?

Rape is a forage brassica so perhaps that's what he's refering to? Deer, like cattle and sheep love forage type brassicas espcecially in the fall after a frost. At that point the starches turn to sugars in the leaves and make it very tasty!
