What does every one really think mit is going to do for us middle class workers here in iowa?

I can guarantee he'll push for policies that create an environment for hard working Iowans to have a fruitful career, instead of our current president who just promises to take from those who are successful and give it to those who aren't willing to work. That's my bottom line.

Other items...

*Romney won't apologize for our country
*Romney won't try to take our guns
*Romney will attempt to repeal that socialist (and illegal) healthcare bill
*Romney won't continue to bankrupt our country by signing stimulus bills that don't even create jobs

I guess the bottom line is that Obama is about as un-American as they come. Michelle Obama saying that in 2008 was the first time she was proud to be and American, the Prez bowing submissively to China, its all bull crap. It makes me very, very angry. I'm worried about my kid's future. I'm worried about my future, I'm worried if I'm going to have to defend myself against someone who tries to take my guns.

/Rant. I hope Romney/Ryan have a landslide victory this fall. I think they take Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Paul Ryan???? Mitt???

Do your homework guys and girls. This could be very bad for everyone on here unless you are an owner of a corporation, a bank, or the wall street itself. Mr. Paul Ryan as a senator of Wisconsin thouht the best idea for our country was to conficagte all retirement in the private sector such as ipers, railroad retirment and such. This alone would really tell me the intent of these people without doing nothing but watching the televised retorick. Good luck this fall to all.

Its U.S. Representative Paul Ryan not Senator and I've done my homework thats why I am voting for the Romney/Ryan ticket. Keep drinking that Hope and Change Kool Aid. Please enlighten us guys and girls on here what BHO has done that is good for our country?? That question alone would have me voting for CHANGE

:way: Preach it Robert!!!!!

SEIowadeerslayer, can you really gaurantee he will do those things? Impressive sir. I wonder if I can gaurantee anything... ok here I go...I guarantee nothing said by any one on this post will change another persons political views or voting choices. I also gaurantee that all we will accomplish is making other people angry and potentially ostracizing some one who shares our love of whitetails.
Ok how'd I do?

Someone summed it up well above. If your sitting around crying in your Cheerios waiting for the government to step in and help your misfortunes then regardless of who wins this election your gonna have problems. In my opinion we all have to look in the mirror and realize its time to pull the hand back and quit looking for handouts. Rich or poor we have all developed a habit of milking the government. Whether its paying a high dollar CPA to do your taxes(finding loopholes), farm subsidies, food stamps, off shore accounts, Medicare, ss, state pension loopholes........this list goes on. I believe the way our government has been run the last few decades has conditioned us all to see how much we can get and we're willing to elect anyone that promises us more. I am as guilty as the next guy. I have grown up though now and realize we're on an unsustainable path and the only way to fix the problems will be through great leadership. Leadership that we haven't got in many, many years and it's gonna have to come from the top down. We're all gonna have to feel some pain to dig out of this hole. Trillions of dollars doesnt get paid back by 1% alone it's gonna take some pain by everyone. I believe paul ryan is the closest thing to what I consider a true leader in politics that I have seen in my lifetime. He's a problem solver and seems to have the knack to bring people together instead of dividing everyone into an us vs. them mentality. I am sick of the same old song and dance in Washington and I look forward to seeing someone come in a clean the mess up. You show me a reasonable path to solving our problems and keeping this country the greatest that ever existed and I will gladly pay more or do whatever it takes to help out. No way can I feel good about giving more before any of our real issues have even been solved. Throwing good money at a bad cause doesnt make sense regardless what tax bracket your in. Sorry for the rant but now that I have several kids I start thinking more and more about these types of problems and what type of life were gonna pass to them if these things don't get hashed out.

Best post yet. Republican or Democrat, it's time we take responsibility for our own actions.

Been a good debate for the most part, enjoy reading everyones opinion on politics. ALthough some of you are warped

The best line yet was when Paul Ryan said "Obama has gone from hope and change to change the subject"

I don't care if your independent, Democrat, or Republican, if you think Obama has done a good job this far, please let me know what he has done that is good and what he is currently doing that is good, so I won't dislike him so much.

Fill me in on the facts that he has done, and is going to continue to do a good job, and heck I'll even vote for him.

Everytime I have asked that question, and I mean EVERYTIME, the people I talk to always go back to Bush and tell me what a horrible president he was.............

I would say it's a whole lot better than the democrats have done for the black voters over the last 40 years. It's a whole lot better than what the Democrats have done for the poor since "the war on poverty". You wanna talk about the chains government puts on folks (Biden's remarks about Mitt) - how about the shackels of Government dependency and government being the "father" in the household instead of a real dad. I am truly boggled what the dems have really done for the brainwashed voters that vote in vast majorities year after year when their situations get worse each decade from Dem policies.
Middle class flourished under bush, Reagan, Clinton (when in 1992 both houses of congress kicked his butt & took over the reigns), etc. Dems have been in charge for 6 years- there are factually LESS RICH PEOPLE since 2006 & 2008. Maybe you can say the poor are "better off" because we almost tripled the amount on food stamps, larger welfare spending, 2 years unemployment. Do the dems really think this is how voters are helped by their "leader"?!?!?!

can i get an AMEN!!!

Let's look at it from a different point of view. It seems so many are all concerned which one is going to do the most for the economy......well, let's throw that out the window for a bit.
Most of you weren't around during the Watergate scandal, but Nixon was forced to resign over a few White House tapes that he erased in which he talked about the botched break in. That's it!!! Forced to resign over a few recordings! Now lets look at Obama, even if you are one of the few that think he's the second coming, anyone with any sense at all should realize that $hi! runs downhill, meaning that Obama knew all about and approved everything that went on in Fast and Furious! If he didn't know anything, why else use executive privilege to not release all the information? That reason alone should be more than enough for people to wake the hell up and realize how dangerous to the United States this guy is! He shouldn't be up for re-election, he should be in prison!!!

Agree whole heartedly!

Love it Shovel!
I could go all day on destructive issues Obama is involved in that have little or nothing to do with the economy. Him giving executive order amnesty to foreign nationals who are here illegally- even if they are younger - we all know this anmesty crap he wants is for the hispanic vote. Not securing border. Support for "back door & underground" means of gun control. Biggest pro-abortion rights prez we've ever had (that is fact). Disdain for military- why all folks I know in military can't stand him & I think the polls have military members at like a 2 to 1 margain of not voting for him. Disdain for middle class & those who have risen above middle class and are self made successes. Food stamp prez. Rolling back welfare reform. Jamming healthcare down the throat (thru gimmicks, bribes & shady means) of a country that overwhelmingly didn't want it. 6 trillion added to deficit. Real problem is, this list just goes on and on and on and on AND you have a class of people in this country that will vote for him NO MATTER WHAT - they vote on emotion (not facts) or who will give them more "freebies" even though we're on a high speed train to bankruptcy. And yes, he does have my vote! :)

I hate to bring this up (not really cause I love making fun of dubya) but if we're going to talk about who knew what and people dying, shouldn't we talk about the republicans reasoning for invading Iraq? And NO, because Sadam was a bad guy is not a valid reason. Too many bad guys far more desrving of the noose than him still around and we don't talk about invading their country. Oh and has anybody looked up when the law came to louisana after Katrina and confiscated peoples guns? Again, republicans in office. If your unfamiliar with that one just google "katrina guns confiscation". Now I know the republicans would just as soon forget they ever backed that guy but they did and now they're tellin me "trust us..." again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...
Just sayin

Not the best source BUT I did google that... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critic...to_Hurricane_Katrina#Confiscation_of_firearms

This was NOT BUSH, this was local government. Louisiana had a democrat mayor and a democrat Governor. BUSH actually signed the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006 to stop this from happening again.

"Fool me twice...." Ah- u mean by voting for Obama?!?! YA, I agree except he didn't fool me the 1st go around. (who has been in charge of congress since 2006 and who has been president for a term now?) Mitt Romney isn't going for his second term, Obama is. So if it's really count 2 on fooling people, OBAMA vs ROMNEY - I'd say it's clear fact that Obama would be the one fooling & shaming the round of folks (or fools) who re-elect this clown & disaster.
