Rodents and trail cams.....grrrrr

Quick question, anyone what to share what they're doing to keep? Squirrels or mice.........something keeps chewing on my power cords.

*Get the cords up off the ground?
*Putting the cords in some oversized plastic tubing?

Appreciate any advice.
Thank you.

I don't have power cord issues, but i had rats chewing the plastic case on my moultrie this year. My remedy was to move my camera. Sorry, I know that's not overly helpful.

If your cams are where you hunt, i wouldn't use any thing with an odor...you might blow the entire deer herd out of the area:confused:

Power cords? What kind of cameras are you using that have a power cord? Does the tree have a 110 outlet?

LOL, pretty straight forward........every trail cam I know of runs off either 6 or 12 volt system, FWIW.....I quit buying AA/C's and D's a long time ago............life is so much simplier. Now..............I need to cure the chewing on the power cords.

Flexible Metal Conduit with simple camoflage paint?

Some of the tree rats around me will chew anything that is plastic or (not) metal.

It is funny, that it seems to almost be an individual personality thing unique to different hunting spots. Some no problem, others more of a problem.

I had a real damage control issue at one set up a couple years ago. He was chewing OFF the ends of my climbing stick straps.

I thumped the (suspected perp) with a judo point one night and knocked him unconscious for several minutes. He recovered, but I did not have any more chewing problem there? Coincidence I'm sure :thrwrck:

However, when I took my stand down, I found one ratchet strap chewed 60% though beside a hook. vengence? :D
