Rule on back of tag

When I got my deer tags it states that if deer is killed,hunter must get a report varification card or tag within 48 hrs.or will be fined.I told a friend about this and he said that theDNR had cancled that rule.Does anybody with autority out there know what the rule is? I sure don't want to lose money or worse,my hunting privalige.Thanks!!!

The legislature in its infinite wisdom rejected the DNRs electronic check in for spring turkey. The DNR saw the handwriting on the wall and also cancelled the electronic deer check in. So the DNR has to revert to its old, outdated postcard survey.

So, no there is no electronic check in.
