Rut Calender?

A couple months ago I bought this calendar out of my Deer and Deer Hunting magazine. It's suppose to lay out the different phases of the rut. What days and weeks they are going thru what phase. I was wondering if anyone has used this before and if it is as acurate as I was told. It was ten bucks I think so if it's not I still got a nice looking calendar. Figured I'd give it a try to see if it is relativley close. I don't expect it to be right on.
 
That rut calendar is based on writer/photographer Charlie Alsheimer's research project on the moon and its effects on the timing of the rut. He's written about it a lot, especially in DDH.

Some people believe in his theories and schedule their vacation/hunting time around them. Others...um...aren't so convinced.

I'm not going to plan anything by what it says on the calendar. Just interested to see if it is close. Does have very nice pics.
 
Rut won't matter anyway, there aren't any deer where you're from /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Last I heard there's a ton of poaching in and around T-Town
 
I wouldn't say a ton. I know of a couple names that poaching go with but they never get caught or it's just small town rumor. I hunt about 2 miles outside of town so no problem there. Maybe along the river where it's more secluded.
Oh, There is a deer or two around.
