Don't forget coon dogs, I mean "collars", they sell the collars and you have to take the dog with it!

Rutledge Rocks!

I love going to Rutledge but I hadn't been for a few years I was afraid they had stopped it. Do they still run the gun and dog auction? I still have a few guns I bought there.

I bought a few "collars" in Rutledge back in the day. Definately a variety of "stuff"

I went once, it was an experience! Lot's of dust, they are right to address that. It was so big that many people trailered their ATV's in there and then instead of walking they rode their ATV's around. It's one of those things that you have to see it one time in your life, words cannot fully impart the sights!

we went there opening day this year and it was a heck of a sight. there was a ton of stuff there. we are going to go back and check out some more b/c some of the vendors werent set up since it was the first day. all in all it was a lot of stuff for every need

It's good to hear that it is up and running again. I got a rutledge e-news letter (kinda an oxymoron I know) a while back talking about the ground getting sold and the last flea market of the year being such and such date and I was kinda bummed. Used to go down there every year. Nothing like crossing back over the border with a truck load of shotguns, hunting dogs, fireworks, and the thousands of other random things you can get down there. Glad to hear its back.

My first Rutledge (Smutledge) trip was when I was about 16. My dad took me down there. I kid you not, they had everything from a monkey to a coffin for sale, yes a coffin! Usually try to go at least once a year. There used to be real good deals on guns, but the last couple years the ATF have hammered a couple dealers down there for improper paper work and such. Some were tried in St. Louis a month or so ago. Not sure how it turned out.
