Safety Harness

New Member
After 2 years of the constant nag from my wife I am going to buy a safety harness to wear... (i won't tell you what i got out of the agreement) Any suggestions on what one to buy? Are the $100+ harnesses worth the extra money or are the $50 ones ok?
 
the ones you get with big game treestands are nice....they are free with a treestand....tell your wife you need a new stand and problem solved

I realize that wearing a safety harness is a personal choice however; I would ask that no one go with out a safety harness. If you want to go out and purchase one there are many different kinds of them on the market, some better than others.

As already stated every new stand you purchase should have a harness in the box with the stand.

I have a dozen or so brand new safety harnesses. I will gladly give you one if you are willing to pay the actual shipping cost to your residence. It shouldn’t cost but a few bucks to send to you. Let me know.
 
I have a couple of the ones that come with the stands... didnt know if i should just use one of those or if the others are that much better
 
Summit Seat-O-pants vest. The best I have ever used. The Prusic knot rope that comes with it is a must IMO. I also have a tree hugger linesman belt and a linesman belt or rope is a must IMO too.

[/ QUOTE ] Well said. With all of the available free harnasses that people like Blake and myself( I gave all of mine away for free too) will give people, plus the big risk one is taking with not wearing one, there is just no reason for someone to not wear one.

... Naw anyways yea I bought one of those $100 walmart buddy stands and the harnesses work just fine..
 
anybuddy do the bowhunter "safety" course in CF?? one of the instructors swears by a rope around his waste.

I've got 2...one came with an api, the other, don't remember. I honestly feel like an insect in a web with them on, maybe it's a size thing.
