Sadness to me and Youngmoose as we said goodbye to my once pride and joy.

The 79 Caprice was the only new car I ever bought and have had it all these years. In that time we only put 76,000 miles on the car. It was not really a collector car or anything but for economic reasons there was no point in keeping it anymore. So after all the car shows, parades, and sunny day drives it is now traveling down a road with a new owner. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

nice looking car. I wouldnt like my baby sold (tina) 1989 Ford T bird. Its a POS but it works for me. But somedays i just want to drive it into the ditch and burn it. Someday im gonna get a strait pipe on it.

Rudd. Keystones and I even had Cragars on it at one time. The cassette player got replaced when the kids started drivin it but Skynerd, Black Oak Arkansas, Boston, and Zep can routinly be heard from my garage.

WTH. When I bought it I had a choice of this one, all loaded up with a 350. Or a 2 tone green with not alot of options, but with a 454.

Nice car, and unrestored I take it? I know how hard it can be to sell a car. I had a 70 GTX that I had to sell. Its ok though, it got me a down payment on a house. Still see it around town from time to time and it makes me tear up a little

Could have been. We used to make a run through Praire, Harpers, Waukon, and back home on Sundays all the time.

Ahhhhhh. The good ole days.......
