sale on tree stands

Just had a buddy text me and said that Menards is having their year end sale on single ladder stands (basic model) for only $49.95

basic or not- pretty cheap for a ladder stand and now is a good time to get a few of them!

just thought I would share in case any of you had been waiting for items to go on sale- save a few for me!!

I usually stock up on the hang on stands for $30 a piece. They're perfect for a set you plan on leaving out all year, and not breaking the bank if someone were to steal one or two. I picked up 10 after last season just to make sure I had extra in the garage just in case.

I bought one of these this year for my son at regular price of $69 or so. Put it up first weekend of second shotgun season and the tubing split putting it up. Cheap made light weight POS in my opinion. I took it back and got a full refund.

I would have too deeraddict- I haven't ever had a problem with them- had multiple people sit in them this year alone from ones I bought last year-

and of course they start out at $69- so its not like you are getting the top of the line to begin with - but to some people that is still a lot of money and in my opinion they get the job done

I bought one from Menards 3 years ago for $40 & love it. It's strong & quiet. Last year I bought a better brand & "better made" stand from Dunhams & the ladder about bent 90* & I about killed myself. This year I bought 2 more from Menards, one at $66 w/ the shooting rail & one at $49. Great stands IMO.

I bought 3 from menards last year. My only complaint is that the foot platforms are pretty tiny. I think mine are fine for gun hunting. But with a bow I like to stand and obviously be squared to my target, whereas with a gun it's easier to shoot without being square. Of course my size 16 boots don't offer much extra room on many stands.
