Saturday I had an 8 chase some does up by the blind.
Every time I turned for a shot,
before I could get the bow up the buck would chase off the doe.
I wanted to shoot one of the bigger does,
but after the buck chased them away for the 5th time I said to myself,
he is going to get himself shot for chasing off the does !!
he stopped at the west window at about 10 yds,
by the time I got the chair turned for the shot he took a few steps and away he went again.
about 10 minutes later a few of the does came back and I thought here comes a shot.
well, believe it or not when they got into the shooting lane,
before I could get the chair turned another 8 came along and did the same thing.
his downfall was standing in one of my shooting lanes a little to long.
the shot was about 8 yds, the bow was my Martin hunter,
the arrow was a goldtip with a zwicky eskimo.
the deer went about 60 yds.
