scent-lock/blocker question

I just ran into another confusing problem with my scent blocker clothes. The carbon liner does not come out of the GoreTex bibs that I have. The instructions say that after washing them with carbon detergent, I need to air dry them, and then use a dryer set on low heat (to preserve the waterproofing of the GoreTex) to activate the carbon. Everything else that I have read indicates that very high heat is needed to activate the carbon. In the case of my bibs, is the carbon even affected by the low heat?? Seems kind of contradictory. I am witing for response from Robinson Labs about this.

I purchased a suit back in the late 1999's and will not likely ever purchase another. I believe the actviated carbon does reduce human scent, but I do not believe the suites can be reactivated once you purchase them and by the time you buy them they are relatively useless.

Pretty much a marketing pitch that has been hyped up.

Unless, you can buy the suit direcly from the factory in a vacumm locked bag, imagine what activated charchol is left by the time you ship is across country in a semi-truck, have some people unloaded it, hang it out on the store shevles for 3 months and have every scent known to man getting hung up in the thing.

I have also read similiar articles on the activation temperatures required to remove or reactivate charcol and it can not be obtain in a normal clothes dryer.

The article I read stated is was around 600 degrees farenheit to re-activate carbon. There is no way you can do that with a suit because the high tempertures would ingite the fabric.
