scent trail

Is it too early to lay down a doe in estrous scent trail? Got a buck giving me fits and just won't come close enough for a good shot and it's in an open field. No other option for a different blind. Seen three buck there last evening doing some sparring but still running together. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I layed down a scent trail of Mrs. doe pee yesterday and had a 150 follow a doe across the field til they hit my scent trail. Then he broke away from her and followed my trail...I don't want to talk about the rest of the story...

Thanks for helping me make up my mind guys. I'm going for it. We leave for my daughter's Air Guard basic training graduation Wed. for five days, so I'd sure like to get him down before that. I appreciate the help:way:
