Scouts

I heard about this on the radio on my way to work this morning, what a tragic situation. My thoughts are out to all the families involved.

Try to keep dry down there everyone, you're situation is truly an example of mother nature's power. We can't outdo her power, only can adapt and get through what she throws at us. Wishing you guys all the best down there. Although one shouldn't need a reminder, it's a good one to give your kids a hug tonight, maybe give your mom and dad a call. Life is precious and in the words of an iowawhitetail wise man, Life is Good.......

Peace be with you boys.......

Our thoughts and prayers are being sent from down here!I pray for the families that lost loved ones and everyone that was affected by this storm.Keep looking up!He knows!

Heading down this weekend to help with some clean up.
What was a beautiful 1800 acre piece of heaven is looking a whole lot closer to hell right now. Spent many nights camping in those woods and now there is hardly a tree standing.
They're doing fly overs this am with infrared cameras to make sure everyone is accounted for.

I live in Blencoe.Been out around scout camp several times. You have a whole range of emotions when watch emergency and rescue units from a more than a dozen towns coming to help.

After responding to the incident last night at the scout camp, losing 4 lifes was a tragedy, it could have been much worse.

Very sad events lately. Thoughts and prayers going out to the parents who lost their loved ones. I could not imagine what they are going through.

Met some fine boys lastnight, talking to them and hearing thier stories of how they helped each other while waiting for rescue personel to arrive really touched home.

Yeah, that is very sad, my prayers go out to all the families. It was impressive to hear both state Govenors have such good things to say about the young men & how they handled themselves.

The Omaha stations ran well into the wee hours of the morning on the story. Many of the newscasters looked like they were having a tough time keeping their emotions in check, quite understandably.

All, I responded as an EMT to the Incident in Little Sioux the other evening as our fire department out of Crescent Iowa was mutual-aided to that location a little after 8:30.All I can say is when talking to the boy scouts in the medical triage area, they are all simply heroes. Down at the High School which was being used as a second medical screening and triage area. I had the opportunity to lead kids to their parents for the first time since it happened, after a helpless feeling at first for the 4 kids, this was a heart warming experience reuniting these brave individuals with their families. It was a emotion filled night as I returned home at a little past 5 AM the next morning. With any chance to help, I would do it all again! All I can say is God Bless to all, may you all rest in peace, and a speedy recovery to all who are not home yet. I will never forget this night, or the families who I had the opportunity to meet. Once again God Bless and RIP.

Wow, talk about putting life into perspective. Our prayers go out to those families.
That picture is amazing.
