Season structure?

Anyone know why our turkey seasons are divided and set in certain lengths? Biological reasons? Hunter safety? ???????

It was explained to me like this. Double the revenue for the state if you want to hunt two seasons$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Opps, I guess I forgot the most IMPORTANT reason in managing wildlife. $$$$$$$ ha ha.

I'm sure that had some heavy weight, but there has to be a bit more to it than that, at least......I hope.

i'm sure by their reasoning, the 4 seasons spreads out the hunters, so we aren't all in the woods at the same time, keeping someone from getting shot. and the breakdown of hunting days, getting longer as seasons go, to allow for hunting pressure, as in deer season. first season, birds are supposed to be easy, no hunging pressure in 11 months, so they should just run to the calls. more and more days get added, as the birds get more educated to calls and hunters. i would like to see a change.
