Things are all over. U know spring is coming!!! I don’t Turkey hunt but I suspect this fires some of u guys up. About NOW…. The deer almost disappear. Don’t see a lot. The turkeys take their place & I see them everywhere!! Good luck coming up.

Saw turkeys out in a field as I was driving around yesterday. Made me think about people commenting on driving great distances without seeing flocks from the road. Not real psyched for season but will probably buy a bow tag just in case.

Always gets me going, something about spring hunting. I gotta admit, I think I like chasing gobblers more than whitetails, something about watching the world coming back to life in the spring and playing the turkey game!!

Will hit 3 states including IN, IL and SD for sure this year and hopefully a 4th!!!
 
Yeah you guys are lucky!!!! I can count on one hand the number of flocks I’ve saw traveling Bout 15 miles to check cows morning and evening. It is BAD around me. Did jump a couple Tom’s shed hunting today. It is depressingly quiet out my back door at day break!!

Oh I’d give up hunting everything else I hunt to keep turkey hunting. I have Iowa and Nebraska planned right now hopefully maybe a Wyoming trip and Missouri.

Wish i was having that. Just now seeing this thread. I was getting good pics this winter back in February on a field edge where i was putting out corn/alfalfa for the deer. It was bringing in turkeys too. camera died the end of february. I just put new batteries in it last weekend, 3/25, and don thave any pics of them, been a week now. I'm wondering for those that put out cams specifically for turkeys is ther something I should do or move cams etc position or something to try and get more pics or is it more just dumb luck to get photos?

Put the cams where the turkeys are. Turkeys are pretty consistent every year on where they go come spring. Same strut zones and all.

If your cam has time lapse capabilities try that. They might not be close enough to trigger the motion sensor.
