Shooting Technique

I've been shooting with both eyes open for over 15 years. It works great for me.
Why give up 50% of your vision if you don't have to?

Im left eye dominant and shoot right handed with both eyes open.. as long as youre using a peep, it doesnt matter because your right eye will still line up your pin and target using the peep aperature as its guide.. it would be awfully tough to line your sights up through your peep with your left eye without being in an extremely awkward position. :way: give 'er a try!

I disagree, I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed, even with a peep I see two blurry sets of sights when looking at a target. It's all about what works best for you; if you can shoot fine with one eye closed then do it. Those big bucks won't know any different, and as long as you can shoot well they'll be just as dead whether one eye is open or two

Deciding to switch your shooting setup right before the season is not a wise decision in my opinion either. You may only get one opportunity and you need muscle memory shooting habits.

I shot bow (right handed) for 10 years before I knew I was left eye dominate. Once I knew I was left eye dominate, I bought a left handed Hoyt Oasis and shot it for 2 years, but never felt comfortable and did not shoot as well as when I was shooting right handed. I switched back to right hand and now shoot with my left eye closed and I shoot as well as any of my buddies.
