Doe tags (resident and nonresident)---can they be purchased at retail outlet that sells licenses, a few days prior to the season?

I've always bought them online, but they take almost a week to get here.

Yes as long as there are some left.
Edit: I am only familiar with resident so that is what I'm speaking for. Clueless on if it is the same for nonresident.

Not sure which county your lookin to hunt, but i bought my doe tag right away this year. Last year I waited and they were sold out.

As long as there are tags left, you can go to any retail kiosk and buy one for that county. I've done it the past 2-3 years Saturday afternoon of shotgun 1.

You can also go to the idnr website to check the county quotas to see if the county you are inquiring about has any left. Usually the counties that allow <700 ish sell out relatively fast whereas those >700 ish seem to have some still available. Sent from my iPhone using IW
