I got a Rode Videomic for my HV20 from Jacks Music Factory. You have to email him and ask what the price is. I think i got mine for about $130 when they are normally $150. Don't forget to get a "dead cat" windmuff for it. Any wind blowing will be heard without it.

The Rode mic is much better than the Canon DM-50.

The Sennheiser MKE 400 Camera-Mount Shotgun Condenser Microphone is a much smaller and effective choice in my opinion. The Rode is as big as the HV30!
