Shotgun Season Poll

I was trying to edit several of the replies by getting the "quote" to work. As you can see, I was unsucessful.... :(
 
Well, to tell you the truth, I think shotgun hunting is just pathetic,unfair,and you dont get as much out of it as you do if you bowhunt.
 
Easy there, son. Probably not the best choice for your first post. I don't shotgun hunt either, and it's not for me, but I don't think it's pathetic or unfair. In fact, it's a very, very effective deer management tool in Iowa. I hunt with a modern compound bow - not the weapon of choice for the traditional archers who shoot longbows and recurves. Does that make me a bad person? I also hunt with a modern muzzleloader with a scope - is it unfair to be able to snipe a big deer at 200 yards or more? Hang around this site for awhile, and you'll see and learn quite a bit. . . regardless of what weapon you hunt with. Just be careful with early judgements.
 
I shotgun hunt and last year I didn't even get to shoot my gun, I wasn't mad 'cause the reason I like shotgun hunting the most is because all the guys are around and we know how to have a lot of fun together.
 
I have to agree, it's about just getting out in the woods. I hunt alot of times by myself, setting up along fence lines that are known pathways for deer running out of timbers. Doesn't matter to me how you hunt, just as long as you enjoy the chance to do so!!
