Went out this morning and made sure I was in the stand by 6:15am. Heard a lot and saw one spike. Bunch of turkeys and squirrels. i have a trail cam about 18 yards away and pulled the card and replaced with a new one. Then I see I should have been there last night. This isn't the deer I am hunting but I don't know if I could have passed him. What you think??

I think it would be nice to know that a good buck is in your area...even if you're not /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

About the buck, he appears to be older and is one of three things.
1. Older and on the down hill side, (but not enough grey in the face to fully buy into that)
2. He's got goofy genetics.
3. He got wounded last year and has grown a "funky" side.

If you have your mind on a better buck, plus this early in the season with the rut knocking on the door...THEN I'd say it's a good thing you weren't in that stand last night, pass him up.

That buck has the unique type of rack that I really like. He would get a dirt nap if he came under my stand.
