Should I shoot a doe or wait?

I'm hoping to get my first deer this season. I also bought several doe tags to get more experience and help manage their numbers. A couple of days ago I found an area where the deer are heading into a standing corn field. I saw at least one buck but it was difficult to see what size. Tonight I snuck back in and found a good place for a ground blind. Since I'm a rookie, do you think I should wait to see if the buck shows up again or should I take one of the first does that comes along to get my first deer. I do have a number of places already scouted out this year so I should be able to try to get a buck later. I just wasn't sure if I should wait a little before taking a doe in case this buck changes his feeding pattern. What do you guys think?

I suggest that you take the first one you can get. You'll have late October, and November to try and take a doe-chasing buck. Have some fun already !

Always take a doe when given the chance. Good meat for the table and the responsible thing to do for the herd.
